A Closer Look at Dan Rather and His Prescription for Bias

Dan Rather

Dan Rather has a publicly stated bias against the treatment of ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder) through Food and Drug Administration-approved medications. In the July 15, 2001, edition of The Houston Chronicle, Rather wrote an op-ed in which he characterized ADHD medication as "parenting with pills." He wrote that the use of ADHD and anti-depression medications is a "reflection of middle-class achievement anxiety." I have acquired solid evidence – in the public domain – that Rather’s reporting team either knew and deliberately withheld, or should have uncovered during the course of even the most minimal level of reporting.
